What does Song Central do?

Song Central provides industry users with access to a large source of original un-published songs/music from a wide source of songwriters/musicians and lyricists. It is a bit like an online library except the material isn't physically removed or downloaded, it is streamed via our website. To expand this library concept further.....

People visit libraries looking for books & resources to help them solve a problem, produce a project or simply browse for something that interests them. Equiped with a shortlist of relevent material they leave to study the material more closely. Books in libraries are accessible to a wide audience over a long period of time rather than ''once off'' or for a day or week.

So How does Song Central do it?

Industry users looking for new songs/music are like visitors to an online library. They can visit 24/7 in their own time. As registered members they can conduct searches for new songs/music based on criteria relevent to their needs at the time. Their searching results in shortlists of relevent songs/music that can be sampled (and if need be) saved for further consideration.

The songs are not saved on a CD or computer, they remain on Song Central and are streamed to the user 'as and when' he selects the ''Play'' button. As the industry user is listening to a song, information about the song (along with lyrics) are displayed to optimise the user's listening experience. Songwriter details are also visible as well as an email link to the songwriter/composer (YOU) if they like what they are listening to!

Apart from conducting random searches, industry users can submit briefs (or tenders) outlining their needs more specifically. All our songwriter members are given the opportunity to either write something (or submit existing material) in response to the brief. As long as songs are in showcase (ie on display in the library) then songwriters can submit their song(s) in response to industry briefs for FREE.

How does Song Central help me or my song(s) become known?

As you know there are lots of ways you can promote your songs (or performances of your songs) to potential audiences and/or industry users. Song Central offers you another option ... but because the site's focus are your songs/music and/or lyrics (only) it offers you the option of being found by your song/music and/or lyrics FIRST.....
