I believe creativity should have the opportunity to stand on its own merit and not be dependent on knowing the right people or on the luck of being in the right place at the right time. Not everyone is a great lyricist and a great musician and sometimes, if the lyricist and musician can find each other, the outcome can turn an 'ok' song into a great one. Finding each other has been hard. Song Central enables talented people to find each other online via a particular song or piece of music and I believe successful collaborations will result when the material is the basis for the connection. I also hope that industry browsers make full use of this site to achieve great outcomes for all.

As a hobby songwriter and part-time musician, for me, the heart of Song Central lies in being able to showcase songs online to have them considered by industry professionals. Gone are the days of having to cut CDs and mail them all around the country. Its not just about cream always rising to the top, it's about being in the right bottle.
