Frequently Asked Questions

Q. If I am not a member of Song Central and want to submit online - will I be subject to any further payment or obligation to Song Central for being a temporary ''guest'' member?

A. No. Your ''guest'' membership is entirely free. You will be subject to exactly the same fees for entry as everybody else entering the competition.

Q. If I submit songs to the competition online via Song Central, will my songs also be showcased for industry users to see?

A. No. Songs submitted to song competitions on Song Central will be streamed to designated judges (only) and will not be available for others to see. (If you wish to showcase song(s) you need to become a songwriter/composer member of Song Central).

Q. Who is running the competition and appointing judges and assigning songs etc.?

A. This is the TSA's competition and the TSA will be responsible for the appointment of judges and the assignment of songs to specific judges.

Q. How are the songs/lyrics provided to the judges on this platform if they are not forwarded or posted?

A. Once you upload your mp3 file (and enter your lyrics) to Song Central's repository, they will be ''streamed on-demand'' by assigned judges.

Q. What does ''streamed-on-demand'' mean?

A. Streaming songs/music does not require someone to download an MP3 file in order to be able to ''Play'' it on their computer. It is more like listening to something on a radio.

Q. What happens once the competition is over?

A. Once the judging is complete (same as with past TSA competitions) you will be forwarded your judges' comments - however, you will receive these via email instead of in the post. Your songs will then be deleted from Song Central's repository.

Q. If I have any questions or problems regarding the competition who do I get in touch with?

A. If you have any problems submitting songs or making online payments or have questions regarding the online process etc. then get in touch with Song Central staff on (02) 9402 7349 or email admin@songcentral.com.au

A. If you have any queries regarding the TSA or the competition in general then see TSA contacts listed below.
